Dr. Ken Bernard, MD, MBA

Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa (Anishinaabe)

Dr. Ken Bernard is a member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa (Anishinaabe), an emergency medicine physician, health care quality researcher, health equity advocate, and entrepreneur. Currently, he serves as System Quality Director of UVA Community Health in Northern, VA, and was the immediate past System Medical Director for UVA Community Health. Before moving to VA he started his career in the Northern Navajo IHS service area and was a founding partner of the Pinnacle Emergency Medical Group and Native American Emergency Medicine Consortium. He graduated from Yale and received his MD from Harvard Medical School and his MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently lives in Northern VA with his family. In addition to clinical practice, he enjoys breaking a sweat, getting outside, reading, and golfing (poorly).
